Electric AC Motor’s Brief Introduction

<

Electric AC motor is invented by Nicola Tesla, a Serbian scientist in American. It is a kind of machine which used to convert the mechanical energy and electrical energy. Because of the great development of AC power system, electric AC motor has become the most popular motor. Compared to the DC motor, AC motor has the advantages of simple structure, convenient manufacture and relatively strong construction. Besides, electric AC motor is easy to make high-speed, high-voltage, large-current and large-capacity motor because there is no commutator in which DC motor has. The coverage of AC motor power is from a few watts to hundreds of thousands of kilowatts, or even one million kilowatts. At the beginning of the 1980s, turbo generator has reached the maximum 1500000 kw.

Brushless DC Motor

Brushless dc motor is widely applied in many fields and the three types of its applications are in the following. The first is the continuous loading application, which mainly requests steady speed but the speed accuracy is not highly emphasized in this situation.
Examples as pumps, fans, blowers and other application types are with low costs and more for the open-loop control. The second is the application of variable load, which mainly requires the speed change within a certain range and has higher demand of the rotational speed of the motor characteristics and dynamic response time.
Drying machine and compressor in the household appliances and pump control, electric controller and engine control in the automobile industry are very good examples. The cost of the system of this kind of application is relatively higher.
The third is the location application. Most of the industrial control and automation applications fall into this category. Such applications tend to deliver the energy, so dynamic response of the speed, the controller and the torque are specially required.

Brushless Motor’s Operation Principle

Brushless motor changes the input to the brushless motor stator coil’s current wave frequency and waveform, forming a magnetic field around a geometric axis of rotation of the motor winding coil to drive the permanent magnet rotor rotation, so the motor will turn up.

The quantity, performance and magnetic motor magnetic flux intensity, motor input voltage and other factors related greatly with the performance of brushless motor control. Because the input is the DC current and the electronic governor needs to turn the current into a three-phase alternating current and receive a control signal from the remote control receiver in order to control motor speed and meet the needs of the model.

In general, the structure of the brushless motor is relatively simple and the important thing is the brushless electronic governor. A good electronic governor need microcontroller program design, circuit design and complex processing technic, so the price of brushless motor should be much higher than the brush motor.

Geared DC Motor’s Structure and Types

Geared DC motor is a kind of common DC motor matching the gear reducer. Gear box is to provide lower rotating speed and larger torque. At the same time, gear box reducer has different speed and torque of different ratio.

This greatly improves the DC motor usage in the automation industry. Reducing motor refers to an integrated body including the speed reducer and a motor. This integration is also called the gear motor. It is usually supplied by the professional reducer manufacturer after integrating and assembling.

Geared DC motor is widely used in iron and steel industry, mechanical industry and etc. The advantages of gear motor is simplified design and space-saving. DC gear motor includes high power gear motor, coaxial helical gear motor, parallel shaft helical gear reducer motor and the spiral bevel gear reducer motor.
